Short Autobiography
Hi! My name is Tay, and I am currently a Media Arts student trying to make it through senior year! To be completely transparent, I’ve been battling a medical condition since February of this year that has been making my overall health and day to day life very unpredictable, debilitating, and unbearable for the last few months. I am very fortunate to have and be seen by multiple specialists, but there has yet to be an official diagnosis or treatment plan for what I have been experiencing. This has negatively impacted my career trajectory, as earlier this year, I was able to be physically present and attentive on multiple film sets and projects as a Media Arts student. As I’m beginning my senior year, it is vital and essential that I utilize the time that is left of my college experience to build valid media and film experience as well as add projects and ventures to my resume and portfolio. With my physical health declining, I had to make the painful decision to take a step back and forfeit opportunities that I would’ve had outside of my college experience. However, I am choosing to stay optimistic and use this opportunity to further advance my media branding, creation and management skills to build an endeavor that can better myself and my future!
Pursuing social media management and working digitally/remotely, has been extremely helpful and beneficial to me, as I am able to be productive when I am physically unable to function fully on my feet. Working on and with various social media accounts and building strong connections through these ventures has helped me stay energized to keep pushing through. I am grateful for any and every opportunity that has been presented to me so far and I’m hoping to keep this trajectory going upwards!
